The maintenance of absorption air dryer, which is also called desiccant air dryer is as following:

Daily maintenance:

1. Check the auto-drainer of pre-filter each day before start it.

2. Check whether the tower changing, regeneration and pressure rise action are normal.

3. Check the running condition, inlet pressure, inlet temperature and the air delivery.

4. Check the moisture indicator, blue means “dry” and pink means “humidity”

5. Check whether the muffler is dirty or blocked. When the back-flushing pressure of regenerating tower is too large, it needs to change the muffler.

6. Check the pressure drop of pre-filter and back filter, if it exceeds 0.5bar, please change the filter element.

Monthly maintenance:

1. Check the flow control filter of heatless purge and externally heated purge desiccant air dryer, change it when necessary.

2. Check the guide filter element of blowing type air dryer, change it when necessary.

3. Check the air suction filter of blowing type air dryer, change it when necessary.

Quarterly maintenance:

1. Check the pre-filter and back filter elements, if there is damage or block, change them if necessary.

2. Purging the safety valve with compressed air.

3. Check the output dew point conditions.

Yearly maintenance:

1. Close the stop valve which is connected to air dryer inlet and outlet point, open the by-pass pipeline and release the pressure of air dryer system completely, open the air dryer desiccant fill gate, take sample and check the desiccant, if the desiccant is polluted by the oil or is pulverized, then change it.

2. Remove and check the outlet one way valve, maintain it or change it if necessary.

3. Remove and check the inlet pneumatic valve and regeneration discharge valve, clean and replace the abrasive valve seat and seal ring.

4. Check whether there is leakage of pneumatic valve cylinder or there is abrasion of seal ring.

5. Check and maintain the pressure rise valve.

6. Check and maintain the air flow control solenoid valve.

7. Calibrate the dew point probe ( if it matched dew-point meter)

8. Check whether the muffler is blocked by the oil or dust; change it when the back-flushing pressure exceeds 0.35bar.
